The book “Al-Ahad wal-Mathani” by Ibn Abi Asim is a compilation of hadith texts. It collects hadiths and chain of transmission. It is distinguished by its focus on naming the Companions and mentioning their virtues and lineages, with special attention to mentioning the people of Badr, those promised Paradise, and those loyal to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. The book also begins by mentioning the friend Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, his lineage, and his description.
