Encouraging the virtues of deeds and the reward for doing so is a book about mentioning what was mentioned in the encouragement of the Prophetic hadiths, written by Al-Hafiz Ibn Shaheen (297 AH - 385 AH). In his book, the author dealt with the issue of encouraging the virtues of deeds and urging them to perform them and mentioning the reward for those who do them. He divided his book into sections, and gave each section a title, then included under it the appropriate Qur’anic verses, hadiths traced back to the Prophet, and traces attributed to the Companions. The number of texts contained in the book reached five hundred and eighty-one texts.
