The book “Baghiyat al-Muthith an’ al-Zawa’id al-Musnad al-Harith” is a book on the texts of hadith, compiled by al-Harith ibn Abi Usama, and it includes hadiths attributed to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. The book begins with the Book of Faith, covering sections such as the virtue of the two testimonies, the sanctity of a Muslim’s blood and property, the qualities of faith, and major sins. Then it moves to the Book of Knowledge, which includes the virtue of scholars, seeking knowledge, and writing hadith. The book presents hadiths supported by their chains of transmission, as appears in the beginning excerpt, which cites hadiths from Omar ibn al-Khattab, Abdullah ibn Masoud, and others.
