Explanation of the Meanings of Athars is a book on the hadiths of rulings and evidence of controversial jurisprudential issues arranged according to the books and chapters of jurisprudence. In it, its compiler, Imam Abu Jaafar al-Tahawi, mentioned the hadiths narrated from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, regarding the rulings, some of which he imagines negate others. He clarifies those that abrogate them from those that are abrogated and those that restrict them from the absolute, and what is obligatory to act upon and what is not obligatory.
