The book “Musnad Ibn al-Ja’d” is one of the books of hadith texts. It collects the narrations of Ali ibn al-Ja’d al-Jawhari on the authority of his sheikhs, and its index highlights a special focus on the narrations of Shu’bah ibn al-Hajjaj on the authority of a number of followers, such as Amr ibn Murra and al-Hakam ibn Utaiba. The book begins with news related to Shu`bah and its translation, then lists the hadiths supported by their connected chains of transmission.
