الممتع الكبير في التصريف كتابٌ في علم التصريف، وقد صنف ابن عصفور هذا الكتاب مختصرًا، وقدمه إلى الأمير أبي بكر عبد الله بن أبي الأصبغ حاكم إشبيلية، ثم ألحق به زيادات كثيرة، جعلت أبا حيان يطلق عليه اسم "الممتع الكبير". وقد علق عليه ابن مالك صاحب الألفية نقودًا كثيرة، أضاف إليها أبو حيان أكثر منها، ثم اختصره في كتاب سماه "المبدع الملخص من الممتع" ونُشِرَ في الكويت سنة 1982م، بتحقيق عبد الحميد سيد طلب. …
Translation
Al-Mumti’ Al-Kabir fi Al-Tasrif is a book on the science of morphology. Ibn Asfour compiled this book briefly, and presented it to Prince Abu Bakr Abdullah bin Abi Al-Asbagh, the ruler of Seville. Then he added many additions to it, which made Abu Hayyan call it “Al-Mumti’ Al-Kabir.” Ibn Malik, the author of the Millennium, commented on it with many coins, to which Abu Hayyan added more, then he summarized it in a book called “The Creator, the Summary from the Fun,” and it was published in Kuwait in 1982 AD, edited by Abd al-Hamid Sayyid Talab. …
