هذا كتاب في النحو والصرف، ألفه أبو جعفر النحاس، ويُعنى بصناعة الكتابة وآدابها واشتقاق أدواتها، مستهلًا بالحديث عن البسملة وحروف المعجم وأيام الأسبوع والشهور. ينتقل المؤلف بعد ذلك إلى المرتبة الثانية من الكتاب، فيتناول بالشرح اشتقاق أسماء كتب الله عز وجل، وذكر آلات الكتابة كالقلم والدواة، وبيان أحكام الإملاء، مؤكدًا على أن صناعة الكتابة فرع من فروع الدين لا تباين أحكام الشريعة.

Translation

This is a book on grammar and morphology, written by Abu Jaafar al-Nahhas. It is concerned with the craft of writing, its etiquette, and the derivation of its tools, beginning with a talk about the basmala, the letters of the dictionary, the days of the week, and the months. The author then moves to the second part of the book, explaining the derivation of the names of the books of God Almighty, mentioning writing instruments such as the pen and inkwell, and explaining the rulings on dictation, emphasizing that the craft of writing is a branch of religion and does not contradict the rulings of Sharia.
