كتاب بر الوالدين لابن الجوزي يُعنى ببيان مفهوم البر والاحترام للوالدين وربط ذلك بصلة الرحم، مستندًا إلى النصوص الشرعية والعقل، ويستعرض فضائل البر وآثاره في العمر وكيفية تطبيقه. كما يتناول الكتاب تحذيرًا من العقوق وعقوباته، ويُقدِّم إرشادات عملية للبر بعد وفاة الوالدين وزيارة قبورهما.

Translation

The book “Dearing Parents” by Ibn al-Jawzi is concerned with explaining the concept of righteousness and respect for parents and linking that to family ties, based on legal texts and reason, and reviews the virtues of righteousness and its effects on lifespan and how to apply it. The book also addresses a warning against disobedience and its punishments, and provides practical instructions for righteousness after the death of parents and visiting their graves.
