كتاب «الحث على حفظ العلم وذكر كبار الحفاظ» لإبن الجوزي يُعنى بأهمية حفظ القرآن والعلم وتبيان سُبل التثبيت، حيث يُفصل في صفات الحافظين، وأساليب تربية الصبي على الحفظ، والوسائل الطبية والوقتية التي تُعزّز الذاكرة. كما يشتمل على بيان أحكام المحفوظات وإرشاد ما ينبغي تقديمه من حفظ، ويختتم بذكر أسماء كبار الحافظين من مختلف الأجيال. يُصنّف الكتاب ضمن الرقاق والآداب والأذكار، ما يُظهر طابعه الأدبي والتهذيبِي إلى جانب توجيهاته العلمية.

Translation

The book “Encouragement to memorize knowledge and mention of great memorizers” by Ibn al-Jawzi is concerned with the importance of memorizing the Qur’an and knowledge and explaining ways to consolidate it. It details the characteristics of memorizers, methods of raising a boy to memorize, and medical and temporary means that enhance memory. It also includes an explanation of the provisions of archives and guidance on the preservation that should be provided, and it concludes by mentioning the names of senior memorizers from different generations. The book is classified under Al-Riqaq, Al-Adab, and Al-Adhkaar, which shows its literary and edifying nature in addition to its scientific guidance.
