Translation

The pretext to the good deeds of Sharia is a book written by Abu al-Qasim al-Husayn bin Muhammad, known as al-Raghib al-Isfahani (died: 502 AH), from the people of Isfahan who resided in Baghdad, and who became famous, to the point that he was associated with al-Ghazali. It is concerned with establishing the moral theory of Muslims, in which he answers the question: “How does a person reach the status of servitude that God made an honor for the pious, and how does he rise from it if he reaches the status of the caliphate that God made it?” May God give honor to the righteous and martyrs?
