Translation

The book “Entertaining the People of Misfortune” by Al-Manbaji falls within the category of Al-Riqaq, Manners, and Remembrances, and deals with the concept of calamity from an Islamic perspective, explaining its reality and what God has prepared for the one who recovers, relying on the Qur’an and Sunnah in directing the reader to seek God’s help and replace the complaint with remembrance. It sheds light on the prohibition of crying, lamenting, and wailing, and shows that misfortunes are a cure for arrogance and a key to contentment and seeking reward, while providing practical advice for steadfastness in faith and reliance on God.
