صفة الصفوة هو كتاب في السيرة النبوية والتراجم والطبقات، ألفه الحافظ أبو الفرج بن الجوزي (508 هـ - 597 هـ)، يبحث الكتاب في التراجم وقصص الاعتبار والمواعظ التي حصلت مع الأتقياء والأصفياء من الصحابة ومن بعدهم، ابتدأ ابن الجوزي المصنف بذكر مجمل عن سيرة رسول الله وأخلاقه وصفاته الكريمة وشمائله الحميدة، ثم ذكر بعضا من كبار الصحابة كالعشرة المبشرين بالجنة وغيرهم ثم العباد والأتقياء والصالحين، حيث يذكر أسماءهم وشيئاً من مآثرهم وأخلاقهم التي يُقتدى بها ويُهتدى بنورها من الاعتبار والاتعاظ والسير على نهجهم، وقد زاد مَن ذكرهم ابن الجوزي في كتابه على 1030 علماً.

Translation

The Characteristics of the Elite is a book on the biography of the Prophet, biographies, and classes, written by Al-Hafiz Abu Al-Faraj Ibn Al-Jawzi (508 AH - 597 AH). The book examines biographies, stories of respect, and sermons that occurred with the pious and pure Companions and those after them. Ibn Al-Jawzi began the book by mentioning a summary of the biography of the Messenger of God, his morals, his honorable qualities, and his praiseworthy virtues, then he mentioned some of the major Companions, such as the ten Those who are promised Paradise and others, then the servants, the pious, and the righteous, where he mentions their names and some of their deeds and morals that are emulated and guided by their light of consideration, admonition, and following their approach. Those mentioned by Ibn al-Jawzi in his book have more than 1030 knowledge.
