كتاب "العلم" لابن عثيمين هو مؤلف في الآداب والأذكار، يتناول موضوع العلم الشرعي تعريفه وفضله وحكم طلبه، ثم ينتقل إلى بيان آداب طالب العلم والأسباب المعينة على تحصيله، ويذكر طرق التحصيل والأخطاء التي ينبغي الحذر منها. يشتمل الكتاب على فصول عن الكتب النافعة لطالب العلم وفتاوى وفوائد متنوعة، ويختتم بثلاث رسائل تتعلق بحسن الخلق وأهميته لطالب العلم، والخلاف بين العلماء وموقف المسلم منه، والحث على الالتحاق بحلق تحفيظ القرآن.

Translation

The book “Al-Ilm” by Ibn Uthaymeen is a book on etiquette and remembrance. It deals with the topic of legal knowledge, its definition, its merits, and the ruling on seeking it. Then it moves on to explaining the etiquette of the seeker of knowledge and the reasons for obtaining it, and mentions the methods of obtaining it and the mistakes that one should beware of. The book includes chapters on useful books for the seeker of knowledge, various fatwas and benefits, and concludes with three messages related to good manners and its importance to the seeker of knowledge, the disagreement between scholars and the Muslim’s position on it, and the urge to join the circle of memorizing the Qur’an.
