الشمائل المحمدية والخصائل المصطفوية هو كتاب جمع فيه الإمام الترمذي أحاديث تتناول صفات النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم من حيث الخلق والمظهر والملابس والآداب. يشتمل على فصول مفصلة تتحدث عن خلقه، خاتم النبوة، شعره، مشيته، لباسه، أكلته، أدواته وغيرها من الخصائص التي وردت في الأحاديث. يندرج هذا العمل ضمن تصنيف السيرة والشمائل، ويعتمد على روايات متعددة لتقديم صورة شاملة عن سيرة النبي وسماته.

Translation

Al-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah wa al-Kha'ayla al-Mustafawiyyah is a book in which Imam al-Tirmidhi collected hadiths dealing with the attributes of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, in terms of character, appearance, clothing, and etiquette. It includes detailed chapters that talk about his character, the seal of prophethood, his hair, his walk, his clothing, his food, his tools, and other characteristics mentioned in the hadiths. This work falls within the classification of biography and virtues, and relies on multiple narrations to provide a comprehensive picture of the Prophet’s biography and characteristics.
