سيرة ابن إسحاق كتاب يجمع بين السيرة والشمائل ومغازي النبي، يقدمه محمد بن إسحاق من خلال رواية يونس بن بكير، ويتناول فيه مواضيع متعددة مثل حفر زمزم، تزويج عبد الله بن عبد المطلب، مولد الرسول، قصص الفيل، وإسلام سلمان الفارسي، إضافة إلى أحاديث عن الكعبة والقبور. يدمج النص بين السرد التاريخي والتحليل الاجتماعي للجزيرة العربية في فترة ما قبل الوحدة، مسلطاً الضوء على التفاعلات الاقتصادية والثقافية بين مكة وشمال الجزيرة. يبرز الكتاب كذلك تأثيرات الحضارات المجاورة على مكة من خلال ذكر الفرس والبيزنطيين واليهود والنصارى. يظلّ النص مرجعاً للباحثين في سيرة النبي وأحداث الغزوات المبكرة.
Translation
The Biography of Ibn Ishaq is a book that combines biography, virtues, and the missions of the Prophet. It is presented by Muhammad ibn Ishaq through the narration of Yunus ibn Bukayr. It deals with various topics such as the excavation of Zamzam, the marriage of Abdullah ibn Abdul Muttalib, the birth of the Messenger, stories of the elephant, and Salman the Persian’s conversion to Islam, in addition to hadiths about the Kaaba and graves. The text combines historical narrative and social analysis of Arabia in the pre-unity period, highlighting the economic and cultural interactions between Mecca and the north of the peninsula. The book also highlights the influence of neighboring civilizations on Mecca by mentioning the Persians, Byzantines, Jews, and Christians. The text remains a reference for researchers into the biography of the Prophet and the events of the early invasions.
