Translation
The book “Ghayat al-Soul fi Characteristics of the Messenger” by Sheikh Ibn al-Mulqin falls within the classification of biography and virtues, and is concerned with detailing the characteristics of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, with a focus on the rulings related to marriage, including what is forbidden, what is permissible, and what is lenient. The author includes chapters on obligations and permissible matters, in addition to sections dealing with the karamah of matters other than marriage and a comparison between what is forbidden and what is permissible. The text shows interest in the jurisprudential differences between the Companions in interpreting the characteristics of the Messenger, based on the opinions mentioned by the investigators.
