The book “Selections of the Most Beautiful Poetry in Praise of the Messenger” by the writer Ramadan Al-Bouti is concerned with collecting poetic texts praising the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and it falls within the classification of biography and virtues. The book opens with introductions that address the characteristics of laudatory poetry when it is directed to someone other than the Messenger, and then moves on to review a selection of poems that glorify the life and qualities of the Prophet. The author aims to show the distinction of the Prophet’s praising poetry from other forms of praise, focusing on honesty and spirituality in expression.
