الجوهر النفيس في سياسة الرئيس تأليف ابن الحداد الموصلي هو كتابٌ في السياسة الشرعية والقضاء يسلّط الضوء على فضائل العدل، السياسة، الحلم، العفو، الأخلاق، السخاء وغيرها من الصفات التي تُعَدُّ من مقومات الرياسة الصالحة. يشتمل على عشرة أبواب تتناول كلّ صفةٍ من صفات الملوك والولاة وتبيّن كيف تُسهم في إعلاء العدل وإعمار الأرض وتحقيق الفَرائض الشرعية. يُقَدِّم المؤلف من خلال تمهيده ما يُعَدُّ أساسًا لتقويم سلوك الحاكم وفقًا للمبادئ الإسلامية، مستندًا إلى ما ورد من محاسن العدل والسياسة في النص.

Translation

The Precious Essence in the Politics of the President, written by Ibn al-Haddad al-Mawsili, is a book on legal politics and the judiciary that sheds light on the virtues of justice, politics, forbearance, forgiveness, morals, generosity and other qualities that are considered among the components of good leadership. It includes ten chapters that address each of the characteristics of kings and governors and show how they contribute to upholding justice, populating the land, and fulfilling legal obligations. Through his introduction, the author presents what is considered a basis for evaluating the ruler’s behavior in accordance with Islamic principles, based on the virtues of justice and politics mentioned in the text.
