هذا الكتاب هو شرح موسوعي لصحيح الإمام البخاري، يشرح فيه المؤلف ابن بطال أحاديث الصحيح مستعينًا بأقوال العلماء السابقين، ويبدأ بمقدمة بين فيها مقصد البخاري من تقديم حديث "إنما الأعمال بالنيات" ليكون تنبيهاً للقارئ على إخلاص النية. يقع الكتاب في عشرة أجزاء، ويتناول في أوله كتاب بدء الوحي وكتاب الإيمان، شارحاً معاني الأحاديث ومسائلها الفقهية والعقدية.

Translation

This book is an encyclopedic explanation of the Sahih of Imam al-Bukhari, in which the author Ibn Battal explains the hadiths of the Sahih using the sayings of previous scholars, and begins with an introduction in which he explains al-Bukhari’s purpose in presenting the hadith “Actions are but by intentions” to alert the reader to sincere intentions. The book is divided into ten parts, and in the beginning it deals with the Book of the Beginning of Revelation and the Book of Faith, explaining the meanings of the hadiths and their jurisprudential and doctrinal issues.
