The book “Kashf al-Mush’il from the Hadith of the Two Sahihs” by Ibn al-Jawzi is an explanation that aims to clarify the hadiths that may be confusing to the reader in Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim, as the author intends to solve what is obscure of their wording and meanings. The book is organized according to the order of the Musnads, starting with the Musnad of the Rightly Guided Caliphs and then the rest of the Companions, in order to reveal the problems and remove ambiguity from the Prophetic texts. The author wrote in his introduction his purpose for writing the book, which was to serve the science of hadith and facilitate its understanding for his students in a time when motivation was weak.
