The graphic interpretation of the Holy Qur’an, written by Aisha Abdul Rahman bint Al-Shati, is an interpretation that focuses on explaining the Arabic language and its rhetorical characteristics in the text of the Qur’an, and is concerned with showing the linguistic and graphic aspects of the verses. The book includes a detailed introduction and then deals with a selection of surahs such as Al-Duha, Al-Sharh, Al-Zalzalah, Al-Adiyat, Al-Naza’at, Al-Balad, and At-Takabr in the first part, and this is complemented by the surahs of Al-Alaq, Al-Qalam, Al-Asr, Al-Layl, Al-Fajr, Al-Hamza, and Al-Ma’un in the second part. The work targets students of the Arabic language and those interested in studying the Qur’an from a literary and graphic perspective, relying on a methodology that links traditional interpretation and analysis of the Qur’anic text as the highest example of Arabic statement.
