The book “Interpretation of Imam Ibn Arafa” is a book on the science of interpretation that presents a definition of the truth of the Qur’an, its subject matter, and its meaning, based on the Arabic language and rhetoric, and based on evidence from poetry and parsing. The author explains the conditions for the interpreter to memorize the entire Qur’an and the tools of ijtihad, and reviews the usefulness of interpretation in deriving rulings and meanings from the principles of religion and jurisprudence. The book includes Surahs Al-Fatihah and Al-Baqarah as samples of annotated Qur’anic texts.
