تفسير سفيان الثوري هو شرح قرآني من تأليف الإمام سفيان بن سعيد بن مسروق الثوري الكوفي، يضم مقدمةً تتناول سيرة المؤلف ومكانته في الفقه والتفسير، إضافةً إلى تفاصيل عن مشايخه وتلامذته وخصائص نسخته. يتبع ذلك عرضٌ لسور القرآن من البقرة إلى الحجر، مع إشارة إلى مآخذ الترجمة وخصائص الكتابة. يُعَدّ هذا العمل من ضمن كتب التفاسير الكلاسيكية التي تجمع بين التفسير والبيان التاريخي للعلماء.

Translation

Tafsir Sufyan al-Thawri is a Qur’anic commentary written by Imam Sufyan bin Saeed bin Masruq al-Thawri al-Kufi. It includes an introduction that addresses the biography of the author and his position in jurisprudence and interpretation, in addition to details about his sheikhs, students, and the characteristics of his version. This is followed by a presentation of the surahs of the Qur’an from Al-Baqarah to Al-Hijr, with an indication of the drawbacks of translation and the characteristics of writing. This work is considered one of the classic books of interpretation that combine interpretation and historical statement by scholars.
