غرائب التفسير وعجائب التأويل مؤلفه هو أبو القاسم محمود بن حمزة بن نصر الكرماني النحوي، يتضمّن هذا الكتاب على علم غزير في علوم القرآن المختلفة فقد أورد صاحبه فيه ما لا يجوز الاعتماد عليه من المعاني، وبعضها بعيدة عن مقصود الآية، ولم يذكر ذلك إلا للتحذير منه، وألا يعتمد عليه. وسبب وجود الغرائب في التفسير أن من الناس مَن له شغف بالإغراب في القول وإن حاد عن الجادة، وركب مسلكًا وعرًا.

Translation

Oddities of Interpretation and Wonders of Interpretation. Its author is Abu al-Qasim Mahmoud bin Hamza bin Nasr al-Kirmani, the grammarian. This book contains abundant knowledge in the various sciences of the Qur’an. Its author has included in it meanings that cannot be relied upon, some of which are far from the intent of the verse. He only mentioned that to warn against it, and not to rely on it. The reason for the presence of strangeness in interpretation is that there are people who have a passion for strangeness in speech, even if they deviate from the path and ride a bumpy road.
