The book “Tuhfat Al-Ashraf Ma’rifat Al-Afara” by Al-Mazzi is a hadith encyclopedia concerned with collecting the excerpts of the hadiths contained in the six books (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abi Dawud, Jami’ Al-Tirmidhi, Sunan Al-Nasa’i, and Sunan Ibn Majah) and some of their appendices, and the author arranged them according to the names of the companions who narrated those hadiths. The book aims to facilitate access to the Prophetic hadiths and to know their meanings in the original sources, while adding some additions and corrections to previous works in this art.
