The book “The Martyrdom of Al-Hussein, may God be pleased with him, between the facts” by Ali Muhammad Al-Sallabi is concerned with studying the biography of Imam Al-Hussein bin Ali in terms of his lineage and virtues, and opens the door to investigating the facts that led to his martyrdom in Karbala, with a distinction between what is proven and what is delusional. It is based on the classification of biographies and classes, and reviews the details of Hussein’s departure to Kufa, the positions of the companions and followers, and the stages of the struggle with Yazid and Ubaid Allah bin Ziyad, up to the battle of Karbala and the fate of its people. It concludes by highlighting the positions of Hussein's companions after his martyrdom and identifying the disputed responsibilities in those events.
