الكتاب من نوع التراجم والطبقات يقدّم سيرة الشيخ الجليل عمر المختار، من مولده ونسبه إلى نشاطه في الجهاد الليبي. يتناول المؤلف تفاصيل نشأته، تعليمه في معهد الجغبوب، وصفاته وشجاعته، إضافة إلى معاركه مع الاحتلال الإيطالي وسفريه إلى مصر. كما يختتم العمل بسرد الأيام الأخيرة، أسره، محاكمته وإعدامه، مع إشارة إلى مراسلاته ودوره في المفاوضات.
Translation
The book, which is of the type of biographies and classes, presents the biography of the venerable Sheikh Omar Al-Mukhtar, from his birth and lineage to his activity in the Libyan jihad. The author covers the details of his upbringing, his education at the Jaghbub Institute, his qualities and courage, in addition to his battles with the Italian occupation and his travels to Egypt. The work also concludes with an account of his last days, his captivity, trial and execution, with reference to his correspondence and his role in the negotiations.
