أسماء من يعرف بكنيته» لابن الفتح الأزدي هو كتاب تراجم وطبقات يختص بجمع أسماء الصحابة والتابعين الذين عُرفوا بألقابهم (الكنى)، ويُرتّب محتواه وفق ترتيب الحروف الأبجدية العربية من الألف إلى اللام، مع كل باب يضم مجموعة من الأسماء والكنى المرتبطة به. يقدّم المؤلف في كلّ مدخل معلومات مختصرة عن كل شخصية، مستنداً إلى ما ورد في السُّنَة والروايات، كما يتضح من الفهرس ومقتطف البداية التي تسرد أمثلة من باب الألف وباب الباء. يُعدّ الكتاب مرجعاً مفيداً للباحثين في علوم السيرة والحديث الذين يرغبون في التعرف على هوية الأفراد من خلال ألقابهم.

Translation

Names of Those Known by His Kunya by Ibn al-Fath al-Azdi is a book of biographies and classes that specializes in collecting the names of the Companions and Followers who were known by their nicknames. Its content is arranged according to the order of the letters of the Arabic alphabet from Alif to L, with each chapter containing a group of names and nicknames associated with it. In each entry, the author provides brief information about each character, based on what was mentioned in the Sunnah and narrations, as is evident from the index and the beginning excerpt, which lists examples from Chapter Alif and Chapter Ba. The book is a useful reference for researchers in the sciences of biography and hadith who wish to identify individuals through their surnames.
