الأعلام هو معجم تراجم للرجال والنساء البارزين من العرب والمستعربين والمستشرقين أعده خير الدين الزركلي. يضم الكتاب مقدمات متعددة توضح تصنيف الموسوعات وتاريخ إعداد العمل الذي انطلق عام 1912 واستكمل إصداره في ثلاث طبعات حتى عام 1969. يتضمن الفهرس فصولًا مرتبة أبجديًا وتفاصيل مثل الهجري والميلادي ووفاة الجاهليين ومصادر المعلومات، ما يجعله مرجعًا شاملًا في مجال التراجم والطبقات.
Translation
Al-A'lam is a dictionary of biographies of prominent Arab, Arab, and Orientalist men and women prepared by Khair al-Din al-Zirkali. The book includes multiple introductions explaining the classification of encyclopedias and the history of the preparation of the work, which began in 1912 and was published in three editions until 1969. The index includes chapters arranged alphabetically and details such as Hijri, Gregorian, death of pre-Islamic people, and sources of information, making it a comprehensive reference in the field of biographies and classes.
