الإصابة في تمييز الصحابة كتاب ألفه ابن حجر العسقلاني سعى فيه لاستقصاء جميع الصحابة (أي من صحبوا النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم) وتراجمهم، ويعد من أهمّ وأوسع ما ألف من الكتب في تاريخ الإسلام على الإطلاق، وموضوعه التمييز بين الصحابة: من صحت صحبته ومن لم تصح، ومن صح وجوده أو لم يصح. ومجموع تراجمه (12446) ترجمة. وقد استغرق تأليفه أربعين عامًا.
Translation
Al-Isaabah fi Tamiyez al-Sahabah is a book written by Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani in which he sought to survey all the Companions (i.e. those who accompanied the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace) and their biographies. It is considered one of the most important and extensive books ever written in the history of Islam, and its subject is distinguishing between the Companions: whose companionship was authentic and who it was not, and whose existence was authentic or not. The total number of his translations is (12,446) translations. It took forty years to write.
