This book, “Al-Kashef fi Ma’rifat al-Kashif fi Ma’rifat al-Muna’ fi Ma’rifat al-Muhna’ fi Ma’rifat al-Sijah al-Books” by al-Dhahabi, is biographies and sayings in the science of hadith, in which al-Dhahabi addresses the mention of those who have a narration in the six books of the Prophet’s hadith, and mentions the sayings of scholars about it. Researchers describe it as an important tool for studying men in hadith. As for the “footnote” to the tribe of Ibn al-Ajami, they are comments and corrections on the original book, and provide additional explanations and data for its contents.
