بغية الوعاة في طبقات اللغويين والنحاة هو كتاب من تأليف عبد الرحمن أبى بكر السيوطي (849 هـ / 1445 م - 911 هـ / 1505 م) جمع فيه تراجم علماء اللغة والنحو من جميع الكتب التي سبقته في هذا الشأن، وزاد عليها ما انتقاه من كتب الأدب والتاريخ والتراجم ومعاجم الشيوخ ومقدمات الكتب وغير ذلك.

Translation

In order to be aware of the classes of linguists and grammarians, it is a book written by Abd al-Rahman Abi Bakr al-Suyuti (849 AH / 1445 AD - 911 AH / 1505 AD), in which he collected biographies of linguists and grammarians from all the books that preceded him in this regard, and added to them what he selected from books of literature, history, biographies, dictionaries of sheikhs, introductions to books, and other things.
