The book “Naming the Jurists of the Provinces from the Companions of the Messenger of God” by Al-Nasa’i is a historical reference that specializes in recording the names of the jurists from the Companions and the Successors and those after them, distributed according to the cities and regions to which they belonged, such as Medina, Mecca, Kufa, the Levant, Khorasan, and Egypt, in addition to mentioning the owners of the different schools of thought such as Malik and Al-Shafi’i. The content includes detailed lists of the names of jurists in chronological and geographical order, based on the hadith narrations in which their names are mentioned. The book aims to document the classes of jurists and determine their connection to the different schools of jurisprudence.
