كتاب «رجال الحاكم في المستدرك» لمقابل بن هادي الوادعي يُعَدُّ من مؤلفات التراجم والطبقات التي تُسجِّل سيرة وروايات رجال الحاكم المذكورين في المستدرك، وتُرتّب أسمائهم وكناياتهم مع إبداء فوائد الجرح والتعديل. يسلط الضوء على تساهل المحدثين في شروط قبول الحديث ويُقدِّم ملاحظات تصحيحية على الأخطاء المتكررة في النصوص. كما يضمّ أقساماً تُظهر فوائد تراجم الرجال غير المندرجة في «تهذيب التهذيب» وتُبيّن علاقاتهم بشيوخهم ومصادرهم.

The book “Al-Hakim’s Men in Al-Mustadrak” by Maqbal bin Hadi Al-Wada’i is considered one of the works of biographies and classes that records the biography and narrations of Al-Hakim’s men mentioned in Al-Mustadrak, and arranges their names and nicknames while showing the benefits of jarh and modification. It highlights the leniency of hadith scholars in the conditions for accepting hadith and provides corrective notes on recurring errors in the texts. It also includes sections that show the benefits of biographies of men that are not included in “Tahdheeb al-Tahdheeb” and show their relationships with their sheikhs and sources.
