كتاب «شعراء النصرانية» للكاتب لويس شيخو يندرج ضمن تصنيف التراجم والطبقات، ويستعرض سيرة شعراء النصرانية من عصور الجاهلية وما بعد الإسلام. ينقسم إلى قسمين رئيسيين يتناولان شعراء اليمن من قبائل كندة ومذحج ومدحج، وشعراء نجد والحجاز من قبائل ربيعة وتغلب. يضم الكتاب أسماءً متعددةً مثل أعمام امرئ القيس، حاتم الطائي، عمرو بن كلثوم وغيرهم، مع إشارة إلى أزمانهم وفقًا للمصادر التاريخية. يهدف إلى توثيق حياة هؤلاء الشعراء وعلاقاتهم القبلية.
Translation
The book “Christian Poets” by Louis Sheikho falls within the classification of biographies and classes, and reviews the biographies of Christian poets from the pre-Islamic and post-Islamic eras. It is divided into two main sections, dealing with the poets of Yemen from the tribes of Kindah, Madhaj and Madhaj, and the poets of Najd and Hijaz from the tribes of Rabia and Taghlib. The book includes many names, such as the uncles of Imru’ al-Qais, Hatem al-Tai, Amr bin Kulthum and others, with reference to their times according to historical sources. It aims to document the lives of these poets and their tribal relationships.
