كتاب «طبقات الشعراء» للكاتب ابن المعتز يندرج ضمن فئة التراجم والطبقات، ويُعنى بتجميع سيرة وأقوال الشعراء العرب مع إشارة إلى أقوالهم وأشعارهم. يشتمل على فصولٍ تُعنى بأخبار عددٍ من الشعراء المعروفين مثل بشار بن برد، والسيد الحميري، ومروان بن أبي حفصة، وغيرهم من الأدباء الذين خلدوا في التاريخ. يهدف المؤلف من خلال هذا العمل إلى توثيق إبداعاتهم وتقديم نظرة شاملة على مكانتهم في الأدب العربي.
Translation
The book “Classes of Poets” by Ibn al-Mu’tazz falls within the category of biographies and classes, and is concerned with compiling the biography and sayings of Arab poets with reference to their sayings and poetry. It includes chapters dealing with the news of a number of well-known poets, such as Bashar bin Burd, Al-Sayyid Al-Himyari, Marwan bin Abi Hafsa, and other writers who have been immortalized in history. Through this work, the author aims to document their creativity and provide a comprehensive overview of their place in Arabic literature.
