طبقات فحول الشعراء هو كتاب من تأليف محمد بن سلام الجمحي (140 هـ - 231 هـ) ويُعَد من أهم مؤلفاته، وقد ذكر فيه ابن سلام شعراء العرب في الجاهلية والإسلام ورتبهم على عشر طبقات، منها عشر طبقات لشعراء الجاهلية وعشر طبقات لشعراء الإسلام، كما ذكر شعراء مكة والطائف والبحرين وشعراء اليهود أيضاً قال ابن سلام الجمحي في مقدمة كتابه: «ذكرنَا الْعَرَب وَأَشْعَارهَا والمشهورين المعروفين من شعرائها وفرسانها وأشرافها وأيامها إِذْ كَانَ لَا يحاط بِشعر قَبيلَة وَاحِدَة من قبائل الْعَرَب وَكَذَلِكَ فرسانها وساداتها وأيامها فاقتصرنا من ذَلِك على مَا لَا يجهله عَالم وَلَا يسْتَغْنى عَن علمه نَاظر في أَمر الْعَرَب فب …

Translation

Classes of Poetry Poets is a book written by Muhammad bin Salam Al-Jumahi (140 AH - 231 AH) and it is considered one of his most important works. In it, Ibn Salam mentioned the Arab poets of pre-Islamic times and Islam and arranged them into ten classes, including ten classes of pre-Islamic poets and ten classes of Islamic poets. He also mentioned the poets of Mecca, Taif, Bahrain, and Jewish poets as well. Ibn Salam Al-Jumahi said in the introduction to his book: “We mentioned the Arabs.” And its poetry and the well-known famous people of its poets, knights, nobles, and days, since not a single Arab tribe could be surrounded by the poetry of its knights, lords, and days, so we confined ourselves to what no scholar is ignorant of and cannot do without.
