كتاب "كنوز الذهب في تاريخ حلب" لسبط ابن العجمي هو مؤلف في التراجم والطبقات، يندرج ضمن سلسلة التواريخ التي أُلفت عن مدينة حلب، حيث ذيّل فيه مؤلفه على تاريخ شيخه "الدر المنتخب" الذي هو بدوره ذيل لتاريخ ابن العديم "بغية الطلب". يقدم الكتاب سردًا للأحداث التاريخية التي عاصرها المؤلف وعايشها، مستندًا إلى مكانته العلمية كشاهد عصر وراصد لتلك الفترة.
Translation
The book “Treasures of Gold in the History of Aleppo” by the tribe of Ibn al-Ajami is a book of biographies and classes, and it falls within the series of histories that were written about the city of Aleppo, where its author appends the history of his sheikh, “Al-Durr al-Mukhtab,” which in turn is an appendix to the history of Ibn al-Adim, “For the Purpose of Talab.” The book provides an account of the historical events that the author witnessed and lived through, based on his scholarly position as a witness and observer of that period.
