كتاب «معرفة أسامي أرداف النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» للشيخ يحيى بن عبد الوهاب ابن منده يندرج ضمن تصنيف التراجم والطبقات، حيث يسلط الضوء على أصحاب النبي الذين رافقوه في السفر والغزوات، موضحاً أسماء كلٍّ منهم مع إسنادٍ إلى حديث أو حديثين يبيّن معنى اسمه. يُرتّب المحتوى بحسب الأسماء، بدءاً من أبي بكر الصديق مروراً بآل البيت والصحابة الآخرين، ويعتمد في ذلك على سلاسل إسناد تقليدية تُذكر في المقدمة. يهدف المؤلف إلى تجميع هذه المعلومات لتسهيل معرفة من كان من «أرداف» النبي في مختلف المواقف.
Translation
The book “Knowing the Names of the Buttocks of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace,” by Sheikh Yahya bin Abdul Wahhab Ibn Mandah falls within the classification of biographies and classes, as it sheds light on the companions of the Prophet who accompanied him on travel and raids, explaining the names of each of them with attribution to one or two hadiths that explain the meaning of his name. The content is arranged according to names, starting with Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and moving on to the Prophet’s family and other companions, and relies on traditional chains of transmission mentioned in the introduction. The author aims to compile this information to make it easier to know who the “buttocks” of the Prophet were in various situations.
