كتاب البيان المُغْرِب في اختصار أخبار ملوك الأندلس والمغرب من تأليف ابن عذاري المراكشي طُبع في ثلاثة مجلدات، وتُرْجم الكتاب كاملاً إلى الفرنسية، ترجمه فانيان سنة 1332هـ، 1914م. قال في مقدمته إنه وصل في الجزء الثالث منه إلى أخبار سنة 667هـ، إلا أن المطبوع منه يقف عند سنة 460هـ. وأشار في الجزء الأول منه إلى كتاب له في تاريخ المشرق، لم يعرف مصيره. وهو الكتاب الوحيد الذي وصلنا من تراث ابن عذاري، ومنه استقى المؤرخون ترجمة ابن عذاري الذي سكتت عنه كل كتب التراجم. وقد رجع إليه لسان الدين عدة مرات في كتابه (الإحاطة). قال الزركلي: (وهو من أعظم المراجع وأوثقها في موضوعه). …
Translation
The book Al-Bayan Al-Mughrib fi Brief News of the Kings of Andalusia and Morocco, written by Ibn Adhari Al-Marrakshi, was printed in three volumes, and the entire book was translated into French. It was translated by Fanian in the year 1332 AH, 1914 AD. He said in his introduction that in the third part he reached the news of the year 667 AH, but the printed version stops at the year 460 AH. In the first part of it, he referred to a book he wrote on the history of the East, the fate of which was unknown. It is the only book that we have received from the legacy of Ibn Adhari, and from it historians derived the translation of Ibn Adhari, about whom all biographies were silent. Lisan al-Din referred to it several times in his book (Al-Ihātah). Al-Zirakli said: (It is one of the greatest and most reliable references on its subject). …
