هذا الكتاب هو تلخيص لصناعة الخطابة على منهج أرسطو، يبين فيه المؤلف علاقة الخطابة بالجدل وكونهما صناعتين خطابيتين موجهتين للغير، لا يستعملهما الإنسان مع نفسه كالبرهان. يوضح الكتاب أن هذه الصناعة تحتاج إلى ملكة ثابتة وعلم بسبب الأفعال لتحقيق الإتقان، متناولاً الأقاويل التي توقع التصديق الخطبي كالضمائر، مع تفصيل في موضوعاتها مثل المدح والذم والشكاية والاعتذار، وأحوال المخاطبين كأخلاق الشباب والشيوخ.

Translation

This book is a summary of the art of rhetoric according to the method of Aristotle, in which the author explains the relationship of rhetoric and argumentation and that they are two rhetorical art directed at others, and a person does not use them with himself as proof. The book makes it clear that this industry requires constant skill and knowledge of the causes of actions to achieve mastery. It deals with statements that anticipate rhetorical belief, such as pronouns, with details on their topics such as praise, blame, complaint, and apology, and the conditions of those being addressed, such as the morals of young people and the elderly.
