هذا الكتاب "زيج الصابئ" لمؤلفه البتاني يتناول موضوعات فلكية ورياضية متقدمة، حيث يركز على حسابات الفلك وحركة الكواكب والنجوم. يتناول الكتاب تقسيم الدائرة الفلكية ومعرفة أوتارها، وكذلك ميل فلك البروج وتأثيره على حسابات الفلك. كما يدرس الكتاب خواص الخطوط المتوازية وارتفاع القطب وزيادة النهار، مع تقديم طرق حسابية لفهم هذه الظواهر الفلكية. الكتاب يهدف إلى تقديم علم الفلك بطريقة منظمة ودقيقة، مع تصحيح بعض الأخطاء الموجودة في الكتب الفلكية السابقة.

This book, “Zij al-Sabi,” by Al-Battani, deals with advanced astronomical and mathematical topics, focusing on astronomical calculations and the movement of the planets and stars. The book deals with the division of the astronomical circle and knowing its chords, as well as the inclination of the zodiac and its effect on astronomical calculations. The book also studies the properties of parallel lines, the height of the pole, and the increase in daylight, while presenting mathematical methods to understand these astronomical phenomena. The book aims to present astronomy in an organized and accurate manner, while correcting some errors found in previous astronomy books.
