This is a book in the sciences of hadith that studies the phenomenon of differing opinions of critics regarding narrators whose rulings differed between jarah and ta’deel, with a focus on studying this phenomenon according to Imam Yahya bin Ma’in. The book deals with works on different narrators, and presents examples of the critics’ differing opinions regarding a single narrator, and the positions of some scholars regarding the different sayings of Ibn Ma’in.
