About this work

كتاب في علوم الحديث، جمع فيه مؤلفه الأحاديث التي وردت فيها أسماء بعض الرجال والنساء مبهمةً، أي غير مذكورة صراحةً، ثم أتبع كل حديثٍ منها بحديث آخر محكمٍ يوضح ذلك الاسم المبهم ويكشف عنه. وقد رتب المؤلف هذه الأحاديث على ترتيب حروف المعجم، مبتدئًا بباب الألف، ليكون الكتاب مرجعًا في معرفة المبهم من الأسماء الواردة في الروايات النبوية.

Translation

A book on the sciences of hadith, in which its author collected hadiths in which the names of some men and women were mentioned vaguely, that is, not explicitly mentioned, and then followed each hadith with another comprehensive hadith that clarifies and reveals that ambiguous name. The author has arranged these hadiths in the alphabetical order of the dictionary, beginning with the chapter Alif, so that the book will be a reference in knowing the ambiguous names mentioned in the prophetic narrations.
