كتاب "الإمام مسلم وصحيحه" لعبد المحسن العباد هو دراسة في علوم الحديث، تتناول سيرة الإمام مسلم بن الحجاج النيسابوري، وتفاصيل حياته ورحلاته في طلب العلم وشيوخه وتلاميذه، ثم تنتقل إلى الحديث عن صحيحه، فتبين سبب تأليفه ومنزلته بين كتب السنة وشرطه فيه، وعدد أحاديثه، وعناية العلماء به، ومسألة انتقاد بعض الأحاديث فيه والجواب عنها.

Translation

The book “Imam Muslim and his Sahih” by Abd al-Muhsin al-Abbad is a study in the sciences of hadith. It deals with the biography of Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj al-Naysaburi, and the details of his life and journeys in seeking knowledge, his sheikhs and his students. Then, it moves on to talking about his Sahih, explaining the reason for its composition, its status among the books of the Sunnah, its condition, the number of its hadiths, the scholars’ interest in it, and the issue of criticizing some of the hadiths in it and answering them.
