The book “Al-Fasl li’l-Wasl al-Madarou fi al-Naql” by Al-Hafiz Al-Khatib Al-Baghdadi is a book on the science of hadith, specializing in the art of insertion into narration, which is for the narrator to include in the hadith what is not from him, whether it is from his own words or from the words of others. The book includes sections that classify the types of insertion, such as inserting the words of narrators into the texts of hadiths, inserting the sayings of the followers into hadiths that are raised, connecting the mursal to the hadith that is raised, and mixing different texts into one narration. This book is considered one of the primary sources in its field, as it is concerned with revealing this delicate critical phenomenon in the Sunnah of the Prophet.
