About this work

كتاب في علم الحديث، يختص بجمع أسماء الرواة الذين لم يرو عنهم إلا راوٍ واحد، أو عدد محدود جدًا من الرواة، مع ذكر من تفرد بالرواية عنهم. يتبع المؤلف في ترتيبه منهجًا أبجديًا على حروف المعجم، مبتدئًا بباب الألف، فيذكر اسم الصحابي أو التابعي، ثم يصف حال روايته بقوله "لا نحفظ أن أحدًا روى عنه إلا فلان" أو "تفرد عنه بالرواية فلان"، مع إيراد بعض الأحاديث التي رواها هؤلاء المتفردون بأسانيدها.

Translation

A book on the science of hadith, which specializes in collecting the names of narrators from whom only one narrator, or a very limited number of narrators, narrated, along with mentioning those who alone narrated from them. In its arrangement, the author follows an alphabetical approach based on the letters of the dictionary, beginning with the chapter Alif, mentioning the name of the companion or follower, then describing the state of his narration by saying, “We do not remember that anyone narrated from him except so-and-so,” or “So-and-so alone narrated from him,” along with listing some of the hadiths that were narrated by these unique people with their chains of transmission.
