Translation

Restricting Knowledge is a book written by Imam Abu Bakr al-Khatib al-Baghdadi (d. 463 AH), in which he collected everything related to the issue of restricting knowledge - which is writing it and copying it in newspapers. It is an old issue due to the prohibition against writing, which is why some scholars argued against restricting the hadith, then after a while they immersed themselves in writing the hadith and there was no scholar who did not have a book on the hadith...
