هذا الكتابُ يُعنى ببيانِ حجيةِ السنةِ النبويةِ ومكانتِها في التشريعِ الإسلامي، حيثُ يبدأُ بتعريفِ السنةِ لغةً واصطلاحاً، ثم ينتقلُ إلى تفصيلِ منزلتِها كأصلٍ ثانٍ من أصولِ التشريعِ بعدَ القرآنِ الكريمِ. ويستعرضُ المؤلفُ جهودَ العلماءِ من الصحابةِ والتابعينَ ومَن بعدَهم في حفظِ السنةِ وصيانَتِها، معَ ذكرِ نماذجَ من سيرِ رجالِها الذينَ خدَموا هذا الميدانَ العظيمَ.
Translation
This book is concerned with explaining the authority of the Prophet’s Sunnah and its place in Islamic legislation, as it begins by defining the Sunnah linguistically and terminologically, then moves on to detailing its status as a second principle of legislation after the Holy Qur’an. The author reviews the efforts of scholars from the Companions and Successors and those after them to memorize and maintain the Sunnah, while mentioning examples of the biographies of its men who served this great field.
