About this work

هذا كتاب في علم العلل من تصنيف ابن رجب الحنبلي، وهو شرح لكتاب "العلل الصغير" للإمام الترمذي. يقع الكتاب في قسمين رئيسيين، يتناول الأول منهما التعريف بمصطلح العلة في الحديث وميدانها وأشهر العلماء الذين اشتغلوا بها، ثم التعريف بأصل الكتاب ومنهج المؤلف فيه ومصادره. أما القسم الثاني فيتضمن دراسة تحليلية لأسباب العلة وكيفية الكشف عنها من خلال شرح ابن رجب، مع دراسة في مصطلح الحديث مستمدة من الكتاب نفسه.

Translation

This is a book on the science of ills compiled by Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali, and it is an explanation of the book “Al-Ilal al-Saghir” by Imam al-Tirmidhi. The book falls into two main sections, the first of which deals with the definition of the term “Illah” in hadith, its field, and the most famous scholars who worked with it, then the definition of the origin of the book, the author’s approach to it, and its sources. The second section includes an analytical study of the causes of the problem and how to detect it through Ibn Rajab’s explanation, with a study of the terminology of hadith drawn from the book itself.
